Josh Irwin Captures Prestigious Trophy

Josh Irwin took Major League Baseball by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25.
For his spectacular campaign, the Los Angeles Angels star has been named the 2043 American League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the right fielder.
On the season he compiled a .381 batting average to go with a .475 on-base percentage. The native of Raleigh, North Carolina also added 50 doubles, 5 triples, 57 home runs, 148 RBIs and 133 runs scored.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jonas Cadavez of the Boston Red Sox finished second in voting, while Ivan Estrada of the Baltimore Orioles finished third.
