St. Louis Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
Pittsburgh pitcher Chris Palmer had a large part in his team beating the St. Louis Cardinals, 1-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Cardinals drop to 12-16, as their stumbling start to the 2044 season continues.
Josh Bibbins had a direct impact on the outcome. Bibbins contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Pittsburgh up, 1-0.
"My gosh almighty, Chris was tremendous," said Pittsburgh manager Matt Asbury.
