Chicago shortstop Kevin MacMillan had a good game, even if his team did not. The White Sox dropped a 4-3 decision to Tampa Bay at Guaranteed Rate Field. MacMillan was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tony Ray earned the save for Tampa Bay, his 2nd. The White Sox fall to 11-18.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Josh Eldridge? The 27-year old left fielder Eldridge stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Tampa Bay up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
