Hartline Helps Guardians Win, 8-7, with Pair of Homers
|
The Cleveland Guardians beat the Boston Red Sox, 8-7, at Fenway Park. Cleveland right fielder Ben Hartline had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win brings the Guardians to 10-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Jim Snyder had a clutch hit in the top of the seventh inning. With two men out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Cleveland second baseman hit a 2-run single. That put the Guardians in the lead, 8-7.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Hartline told the Cleveland Herald.
