A 5-RBI performance from catcher Jonathan Belk, who is a three-time All-Star, led the New York Mets to a win over the Cincinnati Reds, 11-10. New York reliever Brendan Moll snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Joe Green shouldered the loss. Chris Ott earned the save for New York, his 4th of the year.

New York used the timely hitting of Josh Ballard to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Mets on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Tallymac Mets said.

The win lifts New York to a record of 7-1.
