New York Tacks 6-3 Loss on Detroit
|
Pat Hough propelled his team to victory over the Detroit Tigers. The final score was 6-3, New York. Chris Ott earned the save for New York, his 2nd. With their winning streak at 4, the Mets have raced to a strong start this season.
Chris Underwood had a big grand slam home run for the Mets in the bottom of the first inning. With New York leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Greg Dalby, the 7th overall pick in the 2036 draft, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mets ahead, 5-0.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said New York manager Tallymac Mets.
