The Texas Rangers beat the Detroit Tigers, 4-3, at Globe Life Field. Chris Delgado, in particular, was impressive. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Texas reliever Jose Cabrera picked up the win, raising his record to 3-5. Danny Goldman was tagged with the loss. Mike Weagle got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.

Delgado had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-2 splitter from Danny Goldman, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Rangers a 4-3 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Delgado.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Delgado. "You've got to get results."

The Rangers go to 48-83 with the win.
