Kim Shines in 9-1 Minnesota Win
|
Jung-hoon Kim left his imprint on the 9-1 Minnesota win against the Detroit Tigers. Kim, who led the AL in stolen bases with 85 last year, was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Julian Regalado, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. The Minnesota winning streak has reached 3 games.
Norm McLaughlin hit a 2-run triple off Greg Dalby in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Twins in front, 3-1. McLaughlin had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"We maximized our offense today," said Minnesota skipper Rich Wynn. "That makes everyone's life easier."
