|
Despite the exploits of center fielder Tim Martin, the Colorado Rockies were beaten by the New York Mets, 3-2, in 11 innings. Martin was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times. New York is 47-48 and Colorado, with the loss, 56-39.
The Mets got a clutch hit from third baseman David Carrillo. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mets.
