Mets Score Late to Beat Marlins, 3-2
|
In a tight contest between the New York Mets and the Miami Marlins, Nate Vogel was the determining factor. The New York left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The Mets now own a record of 34-35.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when New York first baseman Cortez Uranga, facing Jose Castro, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Mets the 3-2 win.
"Every loss stings," said Miami manager Scott W. "This one is no exception."
