At Progressive Field, the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Guardians by a score of 6-4. Minnesota designated hitter Luis Munoz deserved the lion's share of the credit. Munoz went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Twins. The Twins saw their record improve to 25-37.
Munoz made an early impact for Minnesota when he stroked his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Twins on top, 4-3.
"Luis was ready to go. Big day for him," said Minnesota manager Rich Wynn.
