Blue Jays Win in Extras, 3-2
|
The Toronto Blue Jays snuck past the New York Mets, 3-2, in 13 innings. Toronto pitcher Coby Rosa, in particular, had a standout performance. The slumping Mets have lost 6 straight.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Toronto shortstop Ron Bupp, facing Tim Dunham, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Blue Jays the 3-2 win.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Bupp said, postgame.
