Brewers Fall Short, 6-5, at Boston
|
The Boston Red Sox defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5, in part because of third baseman Alexis Coronado. Coronado was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Red Sox. Dave McTighe closed the game out for Boston, earning his 3rd save. The Boston win streak is now 3 games.
Had Mike Mosesso not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Mosesso hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Red Sox.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Coronado.
