1-0 Loss Extends Detroit Losing Streak
|
Minnesota Twins right-hander Abel Edler pitched a good game against the Detroit Tigers at Target Field, leading his team to victory, 1-0. The Tigers, at 20-28, have lost 8 straight games.
The Twins got a big at-bat from first baseman Christopher Barreda. For the game, Barreda went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Minnesota a 1-0 lead.
"We're learning some lessons in the school of hard knocks," philosophized losing manager Mike A.
