Brewers Top Twins, 3-1
|
The Milwaukee Brewers and Minnesota Twins put on quite a show.
The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a win at Target Field, taking down the Minnesota Twins, 3-1. Starting pitcher Sam Cesari was a big reason why. Jose Ortega, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Nate Malis was credited with the save for Milwaukee, his 1st of the season.
Francesco Chili, who is on pace to hit 53 home runs this season, had a direct impact on the outcome. Chili contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the 11th inning to put Milwaukee up, 2-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Chili said after the game.
The win has Milwaukee at 7-30.
