Blue Jays Take Home 4-1 Win Over Minnesota
|
Pitcher Ivan Orellana was sensational for the Toronto Blue Jays in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Minnesota Twins. Orellana earned the win. Orellana, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Kohki Soto closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Ben Wood went 2-4 with a double for Toronto. The 31-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Tim Satterlee. It was his 34th hit of the season.
"I managed to get ahead of guys and keep them at bay," said Orellana.
The win puts Toronto at 12-20.
