Padilla Batters Czech A Big Time Sunday, May 25th , 2053 Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Gardabaer Puffins shortstop Alex Padilla, who missed the team's pre-game session at Puffins Field but peppered the Czech A Foresters for 5 hits come game time. The Puffins went on to grab the 22-10 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Alex Padilla hit a solo-shot off Moses Mandrapilias in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Currently Padilla has 3 home runs and a .380 batting average. |
