Division Series Goes the Distance, Belgrade HS Prevails Monday, April 25th , 2050 In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Belgrade HS Juggernauts have edged the Nizhny Novgorod HS Loggers. The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Division Series, with a 4-1 win in the clincher being the difference for Belgrade HS and giving them the ticket to the League Championship Series with a 3-2 series triumph. "We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Aleksi Yafarov, who was named series MVP. For the series, Yafarov hit .381 with a .435 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Belgrade HS Juggernauts will play against the Paris HS Rampage in the next round. Paris HS won their series against the Zagreb HS Valiants 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
