Northern Lights Prevail, 3-1, Over Berlin
A good time was had by all at Northern Lights Grounds, where the Berlin Bats and Helsinki Northern Lights tangled.

In a tight game between the Helsinki Northern Lights and the Berlin Bats, pitcher Cesare Galimberti was terrific on the mound. The Helsinki left-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. Jovan Srebov recorded his 9th save for Helsinki.

Helsinki went up, 3-1, on Aristo Abas's 24th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Abas hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Berlin pitcher Wibren Hafkamp shaking his head.

Abas said, "Whether you hit the ball hard, you walk, you have a long at-bat, 10 or 12 pitches, or you hit a homer, you're just trying to do anything you can do to help the team win."

The Northern Lights raised their record to 73-89.
