The Stockholm Valkyries beat the Monaco Mashers by a score of 7-4. Stockholm third baseman Zygmunt Skotniczna deserved the lion's share of the credit. Skotniczna was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Valkyries. Sepi Schleicher snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 6-1 on the season. Getting the save was Selim Danishmend, his 1st.

Stockholm took a 7-3 lead on Skotniczna's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Laurent Payen in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Stockholm to the win.

"I put some good swings on the ball tonight," said Skotniczna.

The Valkyries now own a record of 33-29.
