The Istanbul Janissaries topped the Porto Winos, 10-4, in Western Bloc action at Port Harbour. The standout performance belonged to Istanbul pitcher and Tinaquillo, Venezuela, native Victor Cendejas. Istanbul is now 77-76, Porto 78-75.

Istanbul used the clutch hitting of Fiers Adzhubei to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Janissaries the lead, 6-4. For the game, Adzhubei had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Istanbul manager Ken Smith.
