Belfast pitcher Friedrich Myers had a large part in his team beating the Porto Winos, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Myers picked up the win for Belfast, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-8. Kazmer Lenart collected save number 1.
Fadeuka Aihenvald had a big run-scoring double for the Zephyrs in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Belfast leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 30-year old left-handed pitcher Angel Rosado and swatted a double to left. It was his 39th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Zephyrs ahead, 4-2.
"I felt great. Had good rhythm with my mechanics," said Myers.
The Zephyrs improved to 62-84.
