Frickadellens Double Up Janissaries, 6-3

At Constantinople, the Istanbul Janissaries and Hamburg Frickadellens were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Hamburg Frickadellens spoiled a good performance by Istanbul left fielder Roberto Ledesma, bumping off Istanbul, 6-3, at Constantinople. Ledesma went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. With the win over Istanbul, the Frickadellens improved to 58-87.
Second Baseman Gerbrand Vermeulen made an impact for Hamburg, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Brando DelPiero in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Vermeulen went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
Said Hamburg manager Chase Langer: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
