The Cork Poppers beat the Iceland Vikings at Rebel City Field. The final score was 5-2, in favor of Cork. Luke Jenkins led the way, going 3-for-4 for the home team. Cork pitcher Donatello Torrisi earned the win, hiking his record to 11-3. Corentin Lacroix suffered the loss. Burkhard Piel earned save number 2.

With Cork leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Jenkins hit a sinker from Corentin Lacroix for a 2-run home run. It was his 29th home run of the season and put the Poppers ahead, 4-1.

"We want to make a habit of winning," Jenkins said after the game.

The losing skid has reached 6 games for Iceland.
