Crimea Rivers starter Yoshiyuki Yamashita was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bucharest Crew, 4-3. Oktyabr Shervashidze, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. With the victory, the Rivers record stands at 18-32.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Crimea. That's when Menderes Bayar hit a solo home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Raoul Natta to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
