The Athens Olympians picked up a win at Mt. Olympus, taking down the Czech Swings, 7-5. Starting pitcher Aleksandr Weprev was a big reason why. Sashenka Tsibirov sewed up the save, his 2nd. The win makes Athens 14-31, nothing to write home about.

Brian Rayner had a big 2-run home run for the Olympians in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Athens leading 5-2 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Nigel Wigmore and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Olympians on top, 7-2.

"I thought Aleksandr threw the ball well across the board," said Athens manager Nickyt Smith.
