In a low-scoring contest between the Crimea Rivers and the Athens Olympians, Sebald Ehrlichmann, who is tied for 10th in the EB with a 9.5 K/9 rate, proved to be the difference. The Crimea right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Rivers win. Yashar Babadishev picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Bazyli Hinz suffered the loss. This win makes it 5 in a row for Crimea.

Crimea got a clutch hit from Sergei Volynsky. The center fielder launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"It's a mindset," said Ehrlichmann. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
