Conquerers Continue Skid, Thanks to Koushika, Janissaries
The Istanbul Janissaries licked the Madrid Conquerers, 5-2. Baladhara Koushika deserved a big chunk of the credit. The right fielder hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Janissaries. The Conquerers, now 12-21, continue their inauspicious start.

Istanbul took a 5-1 lead on Koushika's 8th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Jorge Garcia in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Istanbul to the win.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Madrid manager Jimmy Smith.
