The Helsinki Northern Lights used a great performance from Waldo Kohler, who is tied for 2nd in the EB with a 0.96 WHIP, to beat the Monaco Mashers, 2-1, at Northern Lights Grounds. The loss drops Monaco to 16-12.

Kohler, who was born in Berlin, delivered a quality start for Helsinki. The 6-foot-9 right-hander allowed 1 earned run on 1 hit over 7.1 innings of work.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Kohler.
