Poppers Absorb 5-2 Loss at Old Notre Dame
|
The 5-2 Paris win over Cork was due largely to Fraser Clark. The Monks center fielder went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. Despite the win, the Monks still have a lousy 27-68 record.
In the bottom of the first, 24-year old right fielder Humberto Arellano hit a bases-clearing double. The 9th double of the season for the Paris right fielder put the Monks on top, 3-0.
Arellano attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
