Poppers Hammered by Nugumanov, Drop Game 4 to Vikings
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Cork Poppers team, the Iceland Vikings had a tough assignment. Jeirgif Nugumanov delivered.

The Vikings first baseman was unstoppable for the visitors, as he went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 9-4. Nugumanov, 24, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Iceland now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Nugumanov hit a 2-run single off Elias Fisher. It propelled the Vikings into the lead, 5-3.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Iceland manager caught amissingno said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Skol Island in Reykjavík.
