Vienna Sausages starter Gerard Partyka turned in a top-notch performance against the Bucharest Crew at Stormdome. The result was a win for the Sausages, 1-0. Marco Lopez, who finished 2nd in the EB in saves with 43 last year, nailed down the save. At 50-38, the Sausages are currently second in the Eastern Bloc Central.

Partyka's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 5 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 3 hits. Partyka, who is tied for 9th in the EB in wins with 7, goes to 7-7 on the year with 99 strikeouts.

"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Partyka.
