Riding the 3-hit performance of the eight-time All-Star Etibar Robitov, the Rome Wolves stopped the Cork Poppers, 8-1. Sashenka Znamensky earned the win for Rome. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 9-4. The win elevated the Wolves to 57-29.

In the first inning, Robitov had a 2-run home run for Rome. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Wolves on top, 2-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Wolves manager DeadRedd Smith.
