Godofredo Tristo wore out opposing pitchers en route to being named Round 1 MVP.

The star's Southern Maryland Blue Crabs defeated the Sedona Chicharrones by a series score of 4-1 to advance to the Round 2.

Southern Maryland won the final game by a 5-3 count in front of a raucous crowd at Marlins Park.

Tristo hit .500 with a .600 on-base percentage in the series, while also adding 3 home runs, driving in 10 RBI and scoring 7 runs.

"Just trying to do my job, that's all there is too it," said Tristo.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the South Valley Monarcas - Surprise Saguaros series. Surprise leads the series 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
