Hibbard Stands Out, Choice for Best Pitcher

A standout performance in May earned Clay Hibbard the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Gulf Coast Minor League. When his name was penciled in to start by the Dogtown skipper, it meant trouble for opposing teams. For the month the Diddlers star racked up 6 wins and 1 loss.
In 58.1 innings of work, Hibbard limited opposing batters to 44 base hits and a .209 batting average. He notched 43 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 2.31 ERA.
His record for the year is 9-4 in 13 starts and Hibbard has a 2.51 ERA.

Mike Dreyer Winner in Gulf Coast Minor League

Not known for his offensive prowess, Mike Dreyer set the league afire in May and took home the Gulf Coast Minor League Batter of the Month award.
The Ybor City first baseman posted a steady .459 batting average, 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 21 runs.
Looking at his present stats, Dreyer has compiled a .362 batting average in 42 games with a .417 on-base percentage, while hitting 9 home runs and driving in 36 runs.
