Ramos Big Deal in Texas (DSL): Hits for Cycle Wednesday, August 17th , 2039 Some days everything just falls in place. It all came together for Mario Ramos and the Texas (DSL) Rangers 1 today at Las Palmas Complex. The Rangers 1 went home winners and the shortstop had a 4-for-6 day that included the cycle, a baseball rarity. "He sure was a wrecking ball today," said Texas (DSL) manager Allan Beltre following his club's 14-4 taming of the Los Angeles (DSL) Dodgers Guerrero. Mario Ramos doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. During the current season Ramos is batting at a .313 clip with 2 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 63 games and scored 22 times. |
