Yankees Move on to Round 2 Monday, September 14th , 2043 Staten Island Yankees fans are rejoicing after a 9-3 win at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium has propelled the club to a 3-1 Round 1 victory over the Norwich Sea Unicorns. With the win, the club advanced on to the Round 2. "Total team effort, that's the only way we get it done in this one," said Staten Island shortstop Kevin bin Fadi, who was named series MVP. The Staten Island Yankees don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the State College Spikes - Lowell Spinners series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
