Week's Premier Performer Honored by NYP Monday, August 31st , 2043 Not every ball that came off David Valdez's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Williamsport Crosscutters. For his exploits, Valdez was named this week's New York-Penn League Player of the Week award. The Williamsport center fielder put up 10 hits in 21 at-bats and 1 home run while hitting .476 with 12 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year, Valdez is batting .310 with 70 hits, 2 home runs, 40 RBIs, 14 walks, .371 OBP and has scored 24 runs. |
