Trigg Stymies Lugnuts Monday, June 16th , 2042 In an outstanding mound performance, Fort Wayne TinCaps starter Dan Trigg fired a complete-game shutout against the Lansing Lugnuts at Cooley Law School Stadium. Trigg was the key to the 5-0 Fort Wayne win. The 24-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 6 hits and 2 walks he allowed. "6 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." In 5 starts this season, Trigg has notched a 5-0 record and a 0.50 ERA. |
