Barron Muzzles Wichita Bats
Tuesday, August 28th , 2046
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Wichita Wind Surge as starter Alfredo Barron shut them out, 1-0, at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The San Antonio pitcher struck out 12 and walked 0 while allowing 2 hits.
"Barron was good but he wasn't flawless," Wichita manager Blake Butera said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from San Antonio, but this is on us."
This year, Barron has worked 151 innings with 144 strikeouts en route to a 11-7 record and 5.30 ERA.
