Chihuahuas Blank Reno, Driscoll Winner Wednesday, September 2nd , 2043 Andy Driscoll subdued the Reno Aces, 5-0, pitching a 4-hit gem for the El Paso Chihuahuas at Southwest University park. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," El Paso skipper Blake Tekotte said. Driscoll registered 3 strikeouts and issued 5 walks in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Reno manager Yomar Pacheco after the defeat. This season to date, Driscoll has a record of 11 wins and 5 losses with a 3.05 ERA, has appeared in 17 games and struck out 85 in 130 innings. |
