Melchor Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Saturday, April 29th , 2045 Luis Melchor's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Reno. The 25-year-old right fielder extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 2-for-5 performance against the Las Vegas Aviators. The Aces won the game, 7-6. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Luis Melchor struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year, Melchor is batting .371 with 3 home runs, 17 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
