Ader Perfect Against Peoria
|
In front of thousands of fans at Modern Woodmen Park, Andy Ader pitched what will surely be the best game of his career, likely the best of the 2042 Midwest League season, and perhaps the best game for years to come. Ader was flawless for the Quad Cities River Bandits, throwing a perfect game against the Peoria Chiefs.
"I knew when I took the mound today that I felt good," Ader said to reporters after the game. "I had no idea that I felt that good."
Ader struck out 13, allowed no hits, surrendered no walks and allowed no baserunners of any kind en route to the 7-0 River Bandits victory. He retired 27 batters in a row.
In 7 starts this season, Ader has chalked up a 3-5 record and a 3.95 ERA.
