Jeremy McEver had an answer for everything the Fort Wayne TinCaps threw at him at Parkview Field. The South Bend second baseman went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Cubs a win, 5-3.

Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, McEver said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."

Jeremy McEver hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

McEver is currently hitting .333 with 1 home runand 22 RBIs, while scoring 16 runs.
