5 times is the charm -- at least for Juan Velasquez.

The Fresno Grizzlies first baseman tore up the Albuquerque Isotopes to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Chukchansi Park. The offensive onslaught from Velasquez powered the 7-6 Grizzlies win.

"Velasquez was a tough out," Albuquerque manager Renan Sato said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Juan Velasquez hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

For the season, Velasquez has produced 66 hits in 272 at-bats for a .243 average with 4 home runs and gotten on base at a .277 clip.
