McKinley Sparkles in 2-0 Shutout
The San Diego (DSL) Padres 1 manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the St. Louis (DSL) Cardinals Blue. The Padres 1 were overpowered by St. Louis (DSL) starter Dean McKinley, who hurled his club to victory, 2-0.

"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Keyter Collado said.

Over 9 innings, McKinley blanked San Diego (DSL) on 8 hits with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.

"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," McKinley said.

"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
