Cash on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Tri-City
|
Some days you can't win for losing. Just ask Jake Cash -- he was the King of Swing against the ValleyCats, but his Lake Monsters were beaten, 14-7, anyway.
The Vermont first baseman had 6 chances against Tri-City and delivered 5 hits in a sensational game.
"Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt great to be hitting like that, but a downer when you look at the scoreboard. 5-for-6 does wonders for your confidence, but it's a shame we couldn't win, too."
Jake Cash singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Juan Arias in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
This season in 68 games, Cash has hit at a .296 clip with 76 hits, 7 home runs, 25 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
