The manager of the Atlanta (FCL) Braves said he thinks Art Thurston is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 21, but it will be hard to top the catcher's 2028 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Florida Complex League Most Valuable Player Award.

His winning campaign featured a .297 batting average and a .510 on-base percentage this year. In 53 games he piled up 52 hits, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 14 home runs, 52 RBIs and 51 runs scored.

He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 16. Steve Kelley of the Detroit (FCL) Tigers finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Desi Greever of the Atlanta (FCL) Braves finished third.
