Herrera Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Friday, September 2nd , 2039 Vic Herrera saw a spectacular performance go to waste in his club's 10-6 loss to the Arizona GCL DBacks at Anchorage Grounds. The Philadelphia E (GCL) Phillies East third baseman had 3 RBI and went 4-for-5, including hitting for the cycle, but his club went down to defeat anyway. "Everything they threw him, he was swatting around the field," said the Philadelphia E (GCL) skipper Brayan Emery. "It really was a special performance for Vic. It's a shame we couldn't win the game, too." Vic Herrera doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Moises Ortiz in the 6th and tripled in the 8th. At present, Herrera is batting .344 with 75 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 33 runs and scored 42 times. View Boxscore |
