Stanhope Hits in 25 Consecutive Games Tuesday, June 8th , 2032 Shorebirds third baseman Chris Stanhope has extended his hitting streak to 25 games. He went 1-for-5 in today's game against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. Delmarva won the ballgame, 4-3. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Chris Stanhope struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. In 50 games this season, Stanhope is batting .418 with 76 hits and 16 home runs. He has scored 49 runs and driven in 56. |
